She is sexy. She is a romantic. She works hard and takes vacations exactly when she wants to. She travels alone and orders for one, unbothered. She goes to a museum with the same devotion she brings to her Tuesday grocery walk. She walks everywhere, slowly, watching everything. She shows her body because she is safe in it, because she has learned to revere it the way she reveres a painting. She eats the fruit. She finishes the dessert, often before the main course. She enjoys her bubbly by the pool. She orders the second glass. She reads Kant and Sontag on vacations and watches reality tv as prep for her novel writing.
